Everyone loves wild dogs (aka painted wolves, cape hunting dogs etc), but they are not always the easiest to find. With a bit of luck though, expert guides and some decent inside knowledge of course, then the chance to experience this rarest of predators in all its glory is one of Africa’s greatest privileges. I’ve worked – as you know – with these wonderful animals for many years, and this year managed to fall in front of the camera for once (courtesy of Rebelle Films – @CarolineBecquart ) to have a chat about what are probably my most favourite of all the continent’s underdogs… (no pun intended!)
