Just a quick note to say how delighted I was to have the image, “Introspection”, reach the Final of the global Travel Photographer of the Year competition. Although it did not manage to win overall, to get to that stage was extremely gratifying, given the sheer volume of entries it receives. Although one of the most simple images I think I have ever taken, everyone I have spoken to at exhibitions or art shows has been drawn to the pensive expression that this old male chimpanzee let me capture when I met him in the thick forests of Kibale in Uganda….what do YOU see in that face of his?
